Indonesia launches AD investigation on China hot rolled coils

On February 6, 2023, the Indonesian Anti-dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 03/38/KADI/02/2023, in response to the application of the Indonesian company PT Krakatau Steel, for imports from mainland China, India, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Taiwan. And Thailand’s hot-rolled coils launched an anti-dumping sunset review investigation. The Indonesian tax codes of the products involved are 7208.10.00, 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27.11, 7208.27.19, 7208.27.91, 7208.27.99, 7208.36.00, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, 7208.39. , 7208.39.20, 7208.39.30, 7208.39.40, 7208.39.90, 7208.90.10, 7208.90.20, and 7208.90.90.

On June 28, 2006, Indonesia launched an anti-dumping investigation on products originating in or imported from China, India, Russia, Taiwan, and Thailand. On February 28, 2008, Indonesia made an affirmative final ruling on the case. On April 4, 2012, Indonesia launched its first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on hot rolled coils from China, India, Russia, Taiwan, and Thailand.

At the same time, it launched hot-rolled coils from Belarus and Kazakhstan’s Anti-dumping investigation. On November 27, 2013, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued Announcement No. 169/PMK.011/2013, deciding to impose anti-dumping duties on hot-rolled coils from China, India, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Among them, both mainland China and Taiwan region of China 0-20%. On December 21, 2017, Indonesia launched the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on products involved in China, India, Russia, Taiwan, and Thailand, and the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on products involved in Belarus and Kazakhstan.

On April 9, 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued Announcement No. 25/PMK.010/2019, deciding to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case in mainland China, India, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, and Thailand. Mainland China Both Taiwan and China maintain 0-20% anti-dumping duties. This case involves Indonesian tax numbers 7208.10.00, 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27.11, 7208.27.19, 7208.27.91, 7208.27.99, 7208.36.00 , 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, 7208.39.10, 7208.39.90, ex.7208.90.10, ex.7208.90.20 and ex. 7208.90.90.
