October 11, 2022, According to the data of the Russian Special Steel Association, in September this year, Russia’s total stainless steel imports were 18,230 tons, down 40.4% from August and down 54.4% year-on-year.
In the month, in terms of quantity, the import volume of stainless steel cold-rolled steel, stainless steel hot-rolled steel, stainless steel long steel, stainless steel seamless pipe, and stainless steel wire rod decreased by 54.2%, 23.9%, 16.1%, 11.4%, and 23.0% respectively from the previous month.
Meanwhile, imports of stainless steel welded pipes rose 3.4% compared to August on the back of supplies from LNG production
